Hello folks at the New Yorker
I’m Shirley Chan.

I’m an queer, Asian-American video journalist based in Brooklyn. My work lately has focused largely on providing context to news and cultural commentary.

I like to make videos with quick-witted, nuanced angles and an experimentally creative approach.

I am a producer, shooter, and editor, and I also dabble in photojournalism, motion graphic design, and VR.

I’m showcasing the projects that reflect my wide skill set that I would bring as an associate producer at New Yorker.
